Nexcom NDiS B360 Intel Core Tiger Lake Wide Temperature Digital Signage Players with Triple Display

Outdoor and semi-outdoor signage asks a lot of a small player: it often sits in a kiosk housing or behind a drive-through menu board where the air is warm in summer and cold overnight, and it still has to play 4K content without stutter. The Nexcom NDiS B360 series is built for that job. These Digital Signage Players pair 11th Gen Intel Core processors with a slim fanless case only 36 mm high, rated from -20 °C to 60 °C, so they can be mounted inside kiosk housings and display enclosures.

Every NDiS B360 uses an onboard Tiger Lake-UP3 SoC configured at 15 W, with one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket taking up to 32 GB of memory. Graphics come from Intel UHD on the Core i3 and Intel Iris Xe on the Core i5 and Core i7, which matters most for high-bitrate 4K playback and layered content. Two rear display outputs, DP++ at 4096 x 2304 and HDMI 2.0 at 4096 x 2160, both run at 60 Hz, and an internal eDP connector drives a third 4K panel when the player is built into a display or kiosk. Storage is an M.2 2280 Key M socket with a PCIe x4 link for NVMe SSDs, and an M.2 2230 Key E socket takes an optional Wi-Fi module. Two Intel GbE ports, four USB 3.0 ports, an RS232 port and an RS232/422/485 port cover touch screens, scanners, readers and control equipment, with TPM 2.0 onboard.

The range has three versions, separated by processor. The NDiS B360-i3 uses the dual-core Core i3-1115G4E at 2.2 GHz with 6 MB cache and Intel UHD graphics, a sensible fit for single-zone menus and information screens. The NDiS B360-i5 moves to the quad-core Core i5-1145G7E with 8 MB cache and Iris Xe graphics for heavier multi-zone layouts. The NDiS B360-i7 carries the quad-core Core i7-1185G7E with 12 MB cache, which Nexcom lists as available by request.

Nexcom positions the NDiS B360 series for QSR drive-through kiosks, box office displays, information stands, bus stops and digital transit signs, as well as advertising, hospitality and brand promotion screens indoors. The players run Windows 10 or Linux from a 12 V DC input supplied by a 60 W adapter, and carry CE and FCC Class A approval. In practice these Digital Signage Players suit projects where one slim, fanless unit has to cover warm enclosures, two or three 4K screens and the serial and USB peripherals around them.
