Premio CT-DBT01-J1900 3.5″ SBC with Intel Celeron J1900, Dual Intel GbE and Two Mini PCIe Slots

Control cabinets, kiosks and gateways that talk to serial equipment still need several COM ports, a VGA output and dependable networking. The CT-DBT01-J1900 is Premio’s 3.5 inch SBC for that job: a 146 x 102 mm board with an onboard Intel Celeron J1900, two Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports and four serial ports, with two full-size Mini PCIe slots for expansion.

The Intel Celeron J1900 has four cores at 2.0 GHz in a 10 W envelope, a good fit for control, logging and HMI software where heat output matters. One DDR3L SO-DIMM socket takes up to 4 GB of non-ECC memory at up to 1333 MT/s. Intel 7th generation graphics with a media encode and decode engine drive three display interfaces: HDMI and VGA on the rear panel and a 24-bit dual-channel LVDS header for a built-in panel, covering current and older screens.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel I210IT controllers support Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot. Serial devices connect through four RS-232/422/485 ports, one on a rear DB9 and three on internal headers, and an 8-bit GPIO header, PS/2 keyboard and mouse and a Realtek ALC886 audio codec with line-in, line-out and mic-in cover the rest. USB runs to one USB 3.0 and five USB 2.0 ports, one at the rear and four internal. Storage uses a SATA 2.0 port and a microSD card socket, and two full-size Mini PCIe Gen2 slots with a SIM socket take wireless or cellular modules. The CT-DBT02-J1900 is the same board with an mSATA socket in place of the second Mini PCIe slot.

Power is 12 V DC with ACPI 5.0 power management, and hardware monitoring covers voltage and temperature with smart fan control through a fan connector. A hardware watchdog resets the system after 0 to 255 steps of one second or one minute, and TPM 1.2 is available as an option. The board operates from -20 to 70 °C, stores from -40 to 85 °C and handles 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. It measures 146 x 102 mm.
