Premio RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10U Intel Atom x6425E Rugged Mini PC with 8x USB Ports and -40 to 70 °C

USB cameras, scanners, printers and licence dongles can quickly use up the ports on a small industrial computer. The Premio RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10U is the USB build of the RCO-1000-EHL series, a fanless rugged mini PC on the Intel Atom x6425E with a four-port USB 2.0 module fitted.

Inside, the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10U runs an Intel Atom x6425E, a quad-core Elkhart Lake processor with a 12 W TDP and Intel UHD Graphics. One DDR4 SO-DIMM takes up to 32 GB, TPM 2.0 is on board, and Windows 11 and Linux are supported. Storage runs from a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay and an mSATA socket shared with the full-size mini PCIe slot, and an M.2 B key socket takes an optional 4G or 5G module with two external SIM sockets. The build is also ready for an optional Hailo-8 AI module.

The fitted EDGEBoost module adds four USB 2.0 Type-A ports to the board’s 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0, for eight in total. The rest of the I/O covers two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs at up to 4K 60 Hz, two RS-232/422/485 COM ports, Intel I225 2.5GbE and I210 GbE with Wake-on-LAN and PXE, mic-in and line-out audio and two CAN 2.0 A/B channels. The RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10B uses a COM module instead, and the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10 leaves the bracket free.

Cooling is passive through an extruded aluminium housing rated from -40 °C to 70 °C, and shock and vibration are designed to comply with MIL-STD-810H. Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block with AT and ATX modes, over-voltage, over-current and reverse protection and optional ignition management. It is UL listed to UL 62368-1 and carries CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and ICES-003 marks. A wall-mount kit is included, with side, VESA and DIN rail kits and an AC/DC adapter optional. We supply the RCO-1000-EHL-X6425E-10U configured and tested, with memory, storage, the Windows 11 or Linux image and any wireless modules fitted.
