Edge recorders that cannot afford to lose data on a failed drive often want parity RAID handled in hardware. The Premio RCO-6000-RPL-4NH is a rugged industrial PC in the RCO-6000-RPL series with two removable two-bay U.2 NVMe modules in its EDGEBoost Node, four hot-swappable U.2 NVMe bays in all.
The RCO-6000-RPL-4NH takes Core Series 2 and 12th to 14th Gen Intel Core processors in an LGA1700 socket on the R680E chipset, from 35 W standard parts such as the i7-13700TE up to 65 W project builds. Up to 96 GB of DDR5 ECC or non-ECC memory, TPM 2.0 and Windows 11 or Linux support complete the CPU section.
Two Intel I226 2.5GbE ports support TSN and PXE, with eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and a DVI-I port for triple display. Field I/O covers six RS-232/422/485 ports (four internal), two CAN headers and isolated 8-in/8-out DIO. An M.2 B key socket takes NVMe, an AI module or a 4G/5G modem, and two EDGEBoost I/O brackets take optional GbE, 10GbE, USB or 5G modules. The node modules hold four 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe drives with hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10, beside an internal and a hot-swappable SATA bay in the CPU section, and the unit is ready for up to three optional Hailo-8 AI modules.
Main power is 9 to 48 V DC on a terminal block with ignition management and a PC/Car mode switch, with an optional 280 W or 360 W adapter, and a second 12 to 48 V DC 4-pin terminal block feeds the NVMe node. The RCO-6000-RPL-4NH runs from -25 °C to 60 °C and is designed to comply with MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration, with UL 62368-1, CE, FCC and UKCA marks. The CPU section is fanless, and the node has a hot-swappable rear fan. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, NVMe drives and the OS image fitted.
