Premio VIO-217-PC100-EHL 17" Intel Celeron J6413 Industrial Panel PCs with IP65 Front

An HMI in a machine front or cabinet door has to fit a fixed cut-out, keep dust and splashes out at the front and connect to the controllers and serial devices around it. The Premio VIO-217-PC100-EHL series is built for that job: a family of 17 inch fanless industrial panel PCs on the Intel Celeron J6413, with a thin die-cast aluminium front frame sealed to IP65, sized for an operator station where the screen has to show a whole machine page at once.

Every VIO-217-PC100-EHL shares the same build. The quad-core Celeron J6413 runs at up to 3.0 GHz with one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket for up to 32 GB, and storage takes a removable 2.5 inch SATA drive, an mSATA module and two M.2 sockets. Two RJ45 ports, GbE on Intel I210 and 2.5 GbE on Intel I225, sit beside two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports, six RS-232/422/485 ports, eight isolated digital inputs and eight isolated outputs and two internal CAN 2.0 A/B headers. DisplayPort 1.2 drives a second screen, with HDMI 2.0b as an option, and the OS options are Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux. The 17 inch SXGA LCD at 1280 x 1024 runs at 350 nits with 800:1 contrast and 160° horizontal and 140° vertical viewing angles; SXGA resolution suits HMI screens and applications drawn at 1280 x 1024.

The VIO-217-PC100-EHL series offers the VIO-217C-PC100-EHL (projected capacitive touch), the VIO-217R-PC100-EHL (5-wire resistive touch), the VIO-217C-PC100-EHL-1E (PCAP touch with a PCIe x4 slot and a Universal I/O Bracket) and the VIO-217R-PC100-EHL-1E (resistive touch with the same PCIe slot and bracket). Projected capacitive touch gives quick, light response for bare hands, and 5-wire resistive touch registers pressure, so it works with gloves or a stylus. The -1E builds add the PCIe x4 slot (one lane) and a Universal I/O Bracket for an extra interface card, in a chassis about 22 mm deeper.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a 3-pin terminal block with over-voltage, over-current and reverse protection. The series is fanless and operates from 0 °C to 60 °C at 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing, and carries CE and FCC Class A marks and cULus certification to UL 62368-1. A 1000 nit panel and optical bonding are available for bright sites, and the LED backlight is rated for 50,000 hours. Units need a 400 x 331.5 mm cut-out in walls up to 13 mm thick and mount with the supplied panel mount kit or 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA. The serial, digital I/O and CAN mix suits machine control and line-side HMIs.
