Premio VIO-217C-PC100-EHL-1E 17″ PCAP Touch Industrial Panel PC with Intel Celeron J6413 and PCIe Expansion

Some HMI projects need one more interface card than the back panel offers, which would otherwise mean a second box in the cabinet. The VIO-217C-PC100-EHL-1E is the PCAP touch configuration with PCIe expansion in the Premio VIO-217-PC100-EHL series: a 17 inch fanless industrial panel PC on the Intel Celeron J6413 with an IP65 die-cast aluminium front.

The quad-core Celeron J6413 runs at up to 3.0 GHz with one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket for up to 32 GB, and supports Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux. A removable 2.5 inch SATA bay, an mSATA socket and two M.2 sockets let the OS and logged data sit on separate drives. The 17 inch SXGA LCD at 1280 x 1024 runs at 350 nits with 800:1 contrast; SXGA resolution suits HMI screens and applications drawn at 1280 x 1024. Projected capacitive touch gives quick, light response for operators working bare-handed.

One GbE port on Intel I210 and one 2.5 GbE port on Intel I225 can keep machine and plant networks apart. Six RS-232/422/485 ports, eight isolated digital inputs and outputs, two internal CAN headers and four USB ports connect controllers and sensors directly, and DisplayPort 1.2 drives a second screen, with HDMI as an option. The -1E build adds a PCIe x4 slot (one lane) and a Universal I/O Bracket for a card such as extra LAN, serial or fieldbus I/O. The VIO-217C-PC100-EHL is the same PCAP build in a slimmer chassis without the slot, and the VIO-217R-PC100-EHL-1E pairs the slot with 5-wire resistive touch.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a protected 3-pin terminal block. The VIO-217C-PC100-EHL-1E is fanless, operates from 0 °C to 60 °C and carries CE and FCC Class A marks and cULus certification to UL 62368-1. It measures 407.5 x 339 x 92.5 mm, weighs 7.48 kg and needs a 400 x 331.5 mm cut-out in walls up to 13 mm thick, mounting with the supplied panel mount kit or 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA.
