IBOX-604-G2-ONX16 Overview
On a UAV, the compute that fits the airframe and the compute the model needs are often in tension, and a 16 GB module gives larger detection, segmentation or tracking models space to run. The IBOX-604-G2-ONX16 is the Orin NX 16GB model in the Sintrones IBOX-604-G2 series, a drone computer measuring 120 x 115 x 32 mm in an aluminium enclosure with a net weight under 339 g.
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module brings 1024 CUDA cores, an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU and 16 GB of LPDDR5, the most CPU cores and memory in the series. It runs NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 or later with Jetson Linux and the NVIDIA development tools. Where the model fits in 8 GB, the IBOX-604-G2-ONX8 uses Orin NX 8GB in the same enclosure, with the same mounts and wiring.
Two GMSL-2 inputs on FAKRA connectors feed camera video into the IBOX-604-G2-ONX16, with supported cameras from oToBrite, e-con Systems and StereoLabs. A 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226-IT controller carries data to the drone system and a GbE port from the module serves LiDAR or a high-resolution sensor. CAN FD, an RS-232/422/485 port and a 3.3 V UART connect flight controllers, two USB 3.2 ports take GNSS or other peripherals, and storage is an M.2 2242 NVMe SSD, with M.2 Key B plus dual SIM for WWAN and M.2 Key E for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Power arrives at 10 to 60 V DC through a protected 3-pin terminal block with ignition detection and smart power management, sized for 3S to 14S lithium battery systems. The IBOX-604-G2-ONX16 operates from -25 °C to 50 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, five degrees below the 8 GB models, so payload-bay temperatures are worth checking at the design stage. Testing covers MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration plus IEC 60068-2-64, and the drone computer carries a built-in 3-axis accelerometer and CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and IEC 62368-1 compliance from Sintrones.

Official Sintrones UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Sintrones UK distributor, and the IBOX-604-G2 is one of several Sintrones Jetson Orin families. Where a project needs the larger AGX Orin module, the IBOX-650P-T1 series offers in-vehicle computers with 1000BASE-T1, and the IBOX-650P-IP66 series packages AGX Orin in IP66 outdoor PCs with PoE. The IBOX-601-G2 series carries GMSL-2 cameras into in-vehicle edge AI computers for road fleets.
Across our catalogue, the IBOX-604-G2-ONX16 sits with our edge AI systems and our NVIDIA Jetson computers, and is tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration. With no fan and an aluminium enclosure, it also belongs in our fanless PCs range for mobile installs where moving parts are best avoided.
