Sintrones SMB-2615 Intel N150, N355 or Atom x7433RE 3.5″ SBC with Dual 2.5GbE, 4x COM and Extended Temperature

When the enclosure is your own design, the computer usually needs to be a board that fits inside it. The Sintrones SMB-2615 is a 3.5″ SBC, also called a 3.5-inch embedded board, for OEM equipment, kiosks and control units where the board mounts inside the customer’s housing. It measures 146 x 102 x 19.65 mm and weighs 160 g. The SMB-2615 is available to order.

Sintrones offers three processors. The Intel Processor N150 has four Twin Lake cores up to 3.6 GHz, the Core 3 N355 has eight cores up to 3.9 GHz for heavier multi-threaded work, and the Atom x7433RE has four cores up to 3.4 GHz. All three use Intel Graphics with two HDMI 2.0b outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 and 60 Hz. One DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB, and a TPM 2.0 and a watchdog with BIOS-set delays are on board. Supported operating systems are Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Networking is two Intel I226-LM 2.5GbE ports. USB is two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports, and serial is two RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports on board headers, with four digital inputs (5 to 36 V DC) and four digital outputs (5 V, 100 mA). An M.2 3042/3052 Key B socket with nano SIM support takes PCIe, USB 3.2 or SATA modules, such as an optional cellular modem, and an M.2 2230 Key E socket takes optional Wi-Fi. Storage is one SATA 3.0 port with SATA power. We supply the board configured and tested, with memory, storage, the OS image and the optional heatsink kit fitted.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a two-pin terminal block with over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse polarity protection, and a header supplies 5 V and 12 V to peripherals. The SMB-2615 is rated from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C, and lists CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and IEC/EN 62368-1.
