Sintrones VBOX-3630P-M12X Intel Tiger Lake Core i7/i5/i3 In-Vehicle PC with 4x M12 PoE and 24-60V DC Input

When a vehicle carries a ring of IP cameras, the computer usually ends up doing two jobs: recording the streams and powering the cameras. The Sintrones VBOX-3630P-M12X does both through four M12 X-coded LAN ports with PoE, so each camera has one locking cable for data and power. It is the PoE and M12 build of the VBOX-3630 series, and the one build in the series that takes 24 to 60 V DC.

Processor choices are the Intel Core i7-1185G7E and i5-1145G7E, both with four cores and eight threads at up to 4.4 GHz and 4.1 GHz, the Core i3-1115G4E with two cores up to 3.9 GHz, and the Celeron 6305E at 1.8 GHz. TDP is 15 W, configurable from 12 W to 28 W, with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 in two SO-DIMM sockets. The VBOX-3630P-M12X drives four independent displays from two HDMI 2.0b ports, a DisplayPort and a single-link DVI-D.

PoE draws on a 60 W total budget across one 2.5GbE and three GbE ports. Recordings can go to two 2.5″ SATA drives in RAID 0 or RAID 1, with M.2 2280 NVMe for the system. Three RS-232/422/485 ports, six digital inputs, four digital outputs and four USB ports cover the rest of the vehicle wiring. Two M.2 Key B sockets with two SIM sockets take optional 5G or LTE modems, an M.2 Key E socket takes optional Wi-Fi 6, and two mini PCIe slots take optional GPS or CAN modules. We supply it configured and tested, with the drives, memory, OS image and modems fitted.

Ignition control and a software power-off delay manage start-up and shutdown with the engine. The unit runs from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, carries MIL-STD-810G vibration and shock ratings, E-Mark compliance, CE and FCC Class A, and is designed to EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 (R25) requirements. It wall-mounts in an aluminium case of 250 x 165 x 55 mm. The VBOX-3630-M12X is the M12 build without PoE on 9 to 60 V DC, and the VBOX-3630P offers PoE on RJ45.
