Stereolabs ZED-2I-NARROW-POL (ZED-222120) IP66 USB 3.0 Stereo Depth Camera with Narrow 4.6 mm Lenses, Polarizer and Up to 35 m Depth

Long-range depth outdoors has two enemies: distance, which thins out detail, and glare, which wipes texture from water, glass and polished metalwork. The Stereolabs ZED-2I-NARROW-POL addresses both, pairing the 4.6 mm lenses of the ZED-2I series with a built-in polarizer for field vehicles, crop and orchard monitoring and outdoor perimeters.

The narrow lenses see 68° horizontally and 78° diagonally at f/2.0, with two 1/3″ 4MP rolling-shutter sensors on a 12 cm baseline. Depth extends from 0.5 m to 35 m, ideal to 20 m, with accuracy within 0.4% at 2 m and 5% at 20 m, and Stereolabs quotes 2D object detection to 55 m. The polarizer reduces glare and reflections and, by the Stereolabs account, improves colour depth too. The ZED SDK provides depth maps, point clouds, positional tracking, object detection and spatial mapping from the side-by-side stream at up to 2208 x 1242.

One USB 3.0 Type-C cable with thumbscrew locks carries power and data up to 10 m, at a typical 1.9 W, to a Windows or Linux PC with an NVIDIA GPU, or to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin or Xavier module mounted on the machine. The magnetometer, barometer and 400 Hz IMU help a moving vehicle keep its heading and altitude. The IP66-rated aluminium body is sealed against dust and water and runs from -10 °C to 45 °C, with depth precision that may drop beyond that range. A 1/4″-20 thread and 2x M3 holes fit masts, roll bars and the optional tiltable mount.
