Stereolabs ZED-2I-WIDE (ZED-221110) USB 3.0 Stereo Depth Camera with Wide 2.1 mm Lenses, 120° Field of View and IP66 Enclosure

Indoor mobile robots, spatial analytics systems and interactive installations usually need to see as much of a room as possible from one mounting point. The Stereolabs ZED-2I-WIDE answers that with twin 2.1 mm lenses on the IP66 ZED-2I series, giving a stereo depth camera with up to a 120° diagonal field of view and no polarizer in the optical path.

Each f/2.0 lens covers up to 110° horizontally and 70° vertically, in front of a pair of 1/3″ 4MP rolling-shutter sensors on a 12 cm baseline. Depth runs from 0.3 m to 20 m, with an ideal range to 12 m and accuracy within 0.8% at 2 m and 4% at 12 m. The ZED-2I-WIDE streams side by side at up to 2208 x 1242 at 15 fps, 1080p at 30 fps, 720p at 60 fps or 672 x 376 at 100 fps, and the ZED SDK turns that into depth maps, point clouds, positional tracking, object detection, body tracking and spatial mapping.

The camera connects over USB 3.0 through a Type-C port, using thumbscrew-locking cables from 0.3 m to 10 m that carry power and data together at a typical 1.9 W. Hosts are Windows and Linux PCs with an NVIDIA GPU, and NVIDIA Jetson Orin and Xavier modules. If reach matters more than width, the ZED-2I-NARROW moves to 4.6 mm lenses and 35 m, while the ZED-2I-WIDE-POL keeps these optics and adds a polarizer for glare outdoors.

The aluminium enclosure is IP66-rated against dust and water and operates from -10 °C to 45 °C, with depth precision that can drop outside that window. A 1/4″-20 thread and 2x M3 holes on the flat base suit a tripod, a bracket or the optional tiltable mount, and the built-in IMU, barometer and magnetometer sample at up to 400 Hz.
