Vecow PE-6004H Intel I226-IT 4-Port 2.5GbE 802.3bt PoE++ PCIe Cards with Heatsink or Fansink

PoE+ caps each port at 25.5 W, and cameras with pan-tilt motors, heaters or illuminators can need more than that, especially when four of them hang off one host. The Vecow PE-6004H series answers with four IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ ports per card and a choice of two cooling builds with different power budgets. We supply each card configured and tested, fitted in the host with the drivers installed and the PoE budget checked against every camera.

Both PE-6004H cards use four Intel I226-IT controllers, one per RJ45 port, at 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps, 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps, on a PCI Express Gen2 x4 host interface. Every port is an 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 PSE with up to 90 W on a single port, compatible with 802.3at and 802.3af powered devices, so existing PoE+ cameras connect alongside PoE++ models. A software API switches PoE on or off per port, which helps power-cycle a camera remotely, and IEEE 1588 support helps keep timestamps aligned. PoE power comes from the on-board 6-pin 12 V ATX connector and cannot be drawn from the PCIe bus.

The two models differ in cooling, budget and temperature. The PE-6004H uses a passive heatsink, shares up to 140 W of PoE across the four ports and runs from -25 °C to 55 °C. The PE-6004HF adds a fan to the heatsink, shares up to 200 W across the four ports and runs from -25 °C to 65 °C, which suits hosts that drive several PoE++ cameras at full load in a warmer cabinet. In practice, the heatsink build suits sites where a fan is unwelcome and the camera load stays modest, and the fansink build suits two or more cameras near the 90 W limit. Both share the bracket, controllers and driver set, so the choice can be made late in a project.

Both cards have a full-height bracket and store from -40 °C to 85 °C. Vecow lists Windows 11 and Linux support for the PE-6004H series, and the datasheet shows CE and FCC under EMC with the RoHS mark. Typical deployments include PTZ surveillance, traffic monitoring with heated camera housings and inspection cells with high-power illumination, where one card can power and connect four cameras.
