Vecow VCM-2000 Intel Core 200S and 12th to 14th Gen Compact Industrial Computers with 3x 2.5GbE and Extended Temperature

A lot of edge work still runs on a full socketed Intel Core processor: vision inspection, transport video, AMR navigation and line control software that was written for a PC and needs serial ports, several networks and a cellular link alongside it. The Vecow VCM-2000 series is a family of compact industrial computers built for that, in four models rated from -40 °C to 60 °C, with a choice of fanless or fan-sink cooling and of 12 V or wide-range DC input.

Every VCM-2000 model uses an Intel H610E chipset with Intel UHD Graphics and two DDR5 5600 MHz SO-DIMM slots for up to 96 GB. Networking is one Intel I219LM Gigabit port and three Intel I226 2.5GbE ports, with four RS-232/422/485 COM ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, DVI-I and audio. Storage covers two SATA III ports and an M.2 M key socket on PCIe x4. Two external SIM sockets serve an M.2 B key socket and a full-size Mini PCIe socket for optional 5G or 4G, and a second Mini PCIe socket and an M.2 E key socket take optional Wi-Fi or mSATA. All four models have 16-mode software ignition control and TPM 2.0.

The four models split on cooling and power input. The VCM-2000 cools 35 W 14th Gen Core T and 13th or 12th Gen Core TE processors on a fanless heat sink, on 12 V DC. The VCM-2000A is the same fanless design on 9 to 36 V DC, for vehicles and sites with a less stable supply. The VCM-2000F adds a fan sink for processors up to 65 W, which opens up the full CPU list including Intel Core 200S (Bartlett Lake-S) parts with up to 24 cores, on 12 V DC. The VCM-2000AF combines the fan sink with 9 to 36 V DC input. Vecow lists the 14th Gen parts for PC client use conditions only.

In practice the VCM-2000 series suits intelligent transportation, smart manufacturing and AMR control, where a socketed Core processor, four LAN ports and four COM ports have to fit in a small cabinet or vehicle bay. Each VCM-2000 model is rated for 50 G shock and 5 Grms vibration, carries CE, FCC and ICES marks, and is designed to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 requirements. It mounts on a wall bracket, with optional DIN rail and VESA kits, and runs Windows 11 or Linux.
