Winmate M900EKN 8″ Rugged Windows Tablet with Intel Celeron N6211, Gigabit LAN and IP65

Field engineers and inspectors often want a Windows device that fits in one hand, survives a drop and still plugs into a wired network. The M900EKN is Winmate’s 8″ rugged Windows tablet for that work, pairing an Intel Celeron N6211 with an IP65 housing and an RJ45 Gigabit LAN port on the tablet itself.

The Celeron N6211 runs at 1.2 GHz with turbo up to 2.6 GHz, and an Intel Pentium N6415 is offered as an option. Memory is 4 GB as standard with 8 GB optional, and storage is a 128 GB SSD with 256 GB and 512 GB options plus a micro SDXC slot. TPM 2.0 is on board, and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC is the operating system. The 8 inch 1280 x 800 screen has projected capacitive multi-touch, 800 nits, 1500:1 contrast and optical bonding to cut reflections.

Alongside the LAN port sit one USB 3.0 Type-A and one USB 3.0 Type-C port, an audio combo jack and a 19-pin docking connector. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/GLONASS are built in, a micro SIM slot serves the optional 4G LTE module, and a 2MP front and 8MP autofocus rear camera handle photos and video calls. A 1D/2D barcode reader, an HF or LF RFID reader and a smart card reader are optional. Within the Winmate range the M900EK swaps the LAN port for a 15-pin D-sub expansion port and takes power over USB-C, and the M900AD is the 8 inch model with a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and IP66.

The M900EKN is tested to MIL-STD-810H methods for shock, vibration and a 5 ft drop, and operates from -20 °C to 60 °C. A 4200 mAh battery gives around six hours by Winmate’s figure, power is 19 V DC and an AC adapter is supplied. Desk and vehicle docks, a vehicle cradle and a hand strap are optional.
