Winmate R08L200-IPU1TR 8.4″ Front IP65 Monitor with Transflective LCD and Resistive Touch

Small displays on outdoor equipment, kiosks and machine fronts near open doors have to stay legible when daylight falls across the screen. The R08L200-IPU1TR is Winmate’s 8.4 inch transflective industrial monitor for that job: an SVGA panel, with front IP65 protection against dust and low-pressure water jets in a fanless metal housing. It connects to a separate industrial computer or controller and fits into cabinets, racks and fixtures.

The 8.4″ 800 x 600 transflective panel runs at 600 nits with 600:1 contrast and 150 degree horizontal and 130 degree vertical viewing angles, and a transflective panel uses ambient light as well as its backlight, which helps where daylight reaches the screen. The 4:3 format matches many existing HMI and SCADA screen layouts. Resistive touch is fitted as standard, and it works with gloved fingers or a stylus. SAW touch or a plain protection glass without touch can be specified instead.

Video comes in over VGA as standard, with HDMI or DVI inputs as options. Touch connects over a single USB port. Set-up is through a five-key OSD. An audio line-in and two speakers are optional, as is a remote controller. The R08L200-IPU1 is the standard version with touch as an option, and the R08T200-IPT1HB is the 8.4 inch model with a 1000 nit panel.

The 8.4 inch monitor is rated IP65 at the front and mounts into a panel cut-out or on VESA. It runs from 12 V DC, and a 100 to 240 V AC adapter, power cord and VGA and HDMI cables are supplied. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing, and stores from -10 °C to 60 °C, and it carries CE and FCC marks.
