Winmate R10L100-VMN1-NI 10.4″ NVIS Defence Monitor with NVIS Mode and MIL-STD-810G

Vehicle commanders and operators working with night vision goggles need a display that dims into NVIS mode without losing its daytime brightness. The R10L100-VMN1-NI is Winmate’s 10.4 inch NVIS defence display for this, with a 1024 x 768 XGA panel that switches between day mode and NVIS mode, a front IP65 aluminium housing and an isolated 9 to 36 V DC input. It is designed for night-vision compatibility, and Winmate states compliance with MIL-STD-3009.

In day mode the 10.4″ LCD runs at 1000 nits, which makes it sunlight readable, with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 176° viewing angles. NVIS mode changes the output for use alongside night vision goggles. Touch is optional: 5-wire or 4-wire resistive touch works with gloves, or plain protection glass can be fitted where the screen only displays.

Video comes in over VGA as standard, with an HDMI input as an option. Touch data runs over an optional USB Type-A port or an optional RS-232 D-sub 9 port, so the R10L100-VMN1-NI pairs with older and newer mission computers alike. The R08L100-VMN1-NI is the 8.4 inch SVGA version of this NVIS display, and the R10L100-VMT2(HB) is a 10.4 inch vehicle touch monitor with a 10 to 60 V DC input and no NVIS mode.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block with an isolated input, and an ignition on/off control function is optional, so the display can follow the vehicle. Winmate tests the housing to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 Procedure I for vibration, with Method 516.6 Procedure I shock testing as an option. The anti-corrosion aluminium housing is fanless and IP65 rated at the front, except at the I/O ports. It operates from -10 °C to 60 °C, stores from -30 °C to 70 °C, mounts on VESA holes or an optional yoke stand and carries CE and FCC marks. We supply it configured and tested for the system it will join.
