Screens on a ship’s bridge or in an engine control room face vibration, salt air and night-time watchkeeping, and the equipment usually has to carry marine approvals before it is fitted. The R10L210-MRM2 is Winmate’s 10.4 inch marine monitor: an 800 x 600 LCD with resistive touch in a powder-coated aluminium bezel rated IP66 at the front, certified to DNVGL-CG-0339, IEC 60945 4th edition and IACS E10.
The panel runs at 600 nits with a 400:1 contrast ratio and 262,000 colours across an active area of 211.2 x 158.4 mm. A dimming knob sets the backlight from nearly 0% to 100%, which lets the bridge team turn the screen right down for night passages. The resistive touch screen works with gloved hands, and an AR glass front is available as an option.
Video comes in over VGA, DVI-D, composite and S-Video, with picture-in-picture so a camera feed can sit alongside chart or alarm data. One RS-232 port handles remote control and a second RS-232/USB port carries the touch signal. A front-panel OSD keypad sets the picture. The R17L500-MRM1 offers a larger 17 inch SXGA screen in the same style, and the R19L300-MRA1 moves to 19 inch.
Power comes from an isolated 24 V DC input on a terminal block, the input approved by certificate, with 9 to 36 V DC acceptable, at 25 W typical. The monitor is fanless, operates from -15 °C to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, and is rated for 15 G shock over 11 ms and 0.7 g vibration to DNVGL-CG-0339 Class A. It measures 339 x 256 x 72 mm and weighs 3.7 kg, and mounts in a panel or on 75 x 75 mm VESA holes. Winmate names marine bridge systems, shipboard automation and offshore operations as applications.
