Winmate R17L500-MRM1 17″ Marine Panel Mount Monitor with Resistive Touch, SXGA LCD and Front IP66

A monitor on a ship’s bridge or in an engine control room has to survive vibration and damp air, and it must dim far enough not to spoil the watch’s night vision. The R17L500-MRM1 is Winmate’s 17 inch marine monitor: a 1280 x 1024 SXGA LCD with resistive touch in a powder-coated aluminium bezel rated IP66 at the front and IP54 at the rear.

The panel runs at 350 nits with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 16.2 million colours across an active area of 337.92 x 270.336 mm, with viewing angles of 170° horizontally and 160° vertically. A dimming knob sets the backlight from nearly 0% to 100%. The resistive touch screen works with gloved hands, and an AR glass front is available as an option.

Video comes in over VGA, DVI-D, composite and S-Video, with picture-in-picture for a camera feed next to chart or alarm data. One RS-232 port handles remote control and a second RS-232/USB port carries the touch signal. An eight-key front keypad covers source, menu and PIP. The R19L300-MRA1 moves to a 19 inch screen at 400 nits, and the R10L210-MRM2 is the compact 10.4 inch option.

Power comes from an isolated 24 V DC input with 9 to 36 V DC acceptable, at 45 W typical. The monitor is fanless, operates from -15 °C to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, and is rated for 15 G shock over 11 ms and 0.7 g vibration to DNVGL-CG-0339 Class A. The datasheet lists DNVGL-CG-0339, IEC 60945 4th edition and IACS E10 alongside CE and FCC, so confirm certificate status for your vessel with us. It measures 460 x 410 x 77.2 mm, fits a 405 x 356 mm cut-out and has 100 x 100 mm VESA holes. Winmate names marine bridge systems, shipboard automation and offshore operations as applications.
