Winmate R15IE3S-65EX 15″ ATEX Grade Stainless Panel PC with Intel Atom x6413E and MIL-STD-810G

Operator stations in chemical plants and other industrial sites with classified areas need equipment whose hazardous-area status is documented, not assumed. The R15IE3S-65EX is Winmate’s 15″ ATEX panel PC for those locations: a fanless 15 inch computer in a stainless housing sealed to full IP65, positioned by Winmate for Zone 2 and Class I Division 2 applications. Its certification row lists CE, FCC and IC marks, with compliance with ATEX, IECEx and CID2 design.

Inside is an Intel Atom x6413E, a quad-core Elkhart Lake processor running at up to 3.0 GHz with a 9 W TDP, which suits HMI, monitoring and data entry software. Memory is 4 GB of DDR4 as standard with 8 GB or 16 GB options, and storage is a 128 GB SSD with options up to 2 TB in an M.2 2242 B-key slot. An M.2 2230 E-key slot takes an optional Wi-Fi module. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 Pro or Linux Ubuntu 22.04 can be installed.

The 15 inch display is 1024 x 768 at 550 nits, with a 1000 nit panel as an option, 2000:1 contrast and PCAP multi-touch bonded to the panel for clarity. Every connection is sealed: Gigabit LAN on an Intel controller, two USB 2.0 ports and one RS-232/422/485 port all use M12 connectors. The R15ID3S-65EX is the earlier ATEX build with an Intel Atom N2600 and resistive touch, and the R15L600-65EX is the matching stainless ATEX monitor for use with a separate computer.

Power is an isolated 9 to 36 V DC input on an M12 connector. The R15IE3S-65EX operates from -20 °C to 60 °C, is tested to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 for vibration and Method 516.6 Procedure IV for drop, with shock testing optional, and mounts on VESA. Winmate supplies an AC adapter and M12 cables for use outside the hazardous area. We supply it configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
