Winmate RG100-SUIT Portable RoIP Radio Gateway Suitcase

When an incident brings several agencies to one site, their radios often run on different systems and cannot hear each other. A portable radio over IP gateway lets a team patch those radios together where they are needed. The RG100-SUIT is Winmate’s RoIP radio gateway in a plastic suitcase with a built-in 108.5 Wh battery, intended for emergency response, public safety and industrial communication where interoperability has to travel.

Radio support is a choice of VHF 134 to 174 MHz or UHF 400 to 470 MHz, with 4 W transmit power and receive sensitivity down to -121 dBm, and Winmate lists DMR support on either band. Backhaul runs over wired Ethernet, 4G LTE on bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28 and B32, or WLAN. Inside, the RG100-SUIT has 4 GB of RAM, a 64 GB SSD and a microSD slot, running Ubuntu.

The case carries one WAN and one LAN RJ45 port plus two radio ports, with four or six radio ports as options for larger patches. There are two USB 3.0 ports, a SIM slot, and four digital inputs with four digital outputs. Set-up is through an HTTPS web interface, with static IP or DHCP, a SIP client, NTP and DNS clients, and web, DHCP and SSH servers over IPv4. Within the Winmate range the RG100 is the same gateway in a fixed, VESA-mount metal housing, and the EACIEK20 is an Intel Celeron N6211 IoT gateway with dual 2.5GbE.

Power comes from an AC input or 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block, with the battery covering time away from either. Winmate rates the gateway for 0 to 60 °C operation and lists vibration to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6, with CE and FCC marks.
