Winmate RG100 RoIP Radio Gateway with 9 to 36V DC

Many control rooms still run fleets of analogue or digital handheld and base-station radios that work well but cannot talk to IP voice systems or to each other. A radio over IP gateway bridges that gap without replacing the radios. The RG100 is Winmate’s RoIP radio gateway for that job, built for emergency response, public safety and industrial communication where narrowband radio and broadband networks have to work together.

The radio side is a choice of VHF 134 to 174 MHz or UHF 400 to 470 MHz, with 4 W transmit power and receive sensitivity down to -121 dBm. Backhaul can be wired Ethernet, 4G LTE on bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28 and B32, or WLAN, which gives the RG100 a route back to the network on sites where cabling is difficult. Inside are 4 GB of RAM, a 64 GB SSD and a microSD slot, running Ubuntu.

Connections are four RJ45 ports, set out as one WAN, one LAN and two radio interfaces, plus two USB 3.0 ports, a SIM slot and four digital inputs with four digital outputs for push-to-talk or alarm signals. The gateway is set up through an HTTPS web interface and supports static IP or DHCP, a SIP client, NTP and DNS clients, a web server, DHCP server and SSH server over IPv4. Within the Winmate range the RG100-SUIT puts the same gateway in a portable suitcase with a built-in battery, and the EACIL20 is a general-purpose IoT gateway with dual Gigabit LAN.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block, and the metal housing mounts on VESA. Winmate rates it for 0 to 60 °C operation and lists vibration to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6, with CE and FCC marks.
