Winmate TC605 6″ Rugged Android Handheld with Qualcomm QCM4490, Barcode Scanner and IP68

Warehouse data capture and field service teams often want one device that scans, photographs and connects, and survives being dropped on concrete or caught in the rain. The TC605 is Winmate’s 6 inch Android rugged handheld computer for that work, built around a Qualcomm QCM4490 with a 6″ 1080 x 2160 touch screen, a standard 1D/2D barcode reader and IP65 and IP68 sealing. Winmate names field service, warehouse data capture and mobile workforce operations as its intended uses.

The QCM4490 is an octa-core processor at up to 2.4 GHz, with 6 GB of memory, 128 GB of storage and a Micro SD slot. Android 14 is the default, with Android 16 as an option, and Winmate lists SOTI MobiControl support for device management. The display gives 600 nits, is optically bonded and uses projected capacitive multi-touch. An 8MP front camera and a 16MP autofocus rear camera with LED are built in, with ambient light, e-compass, gyro, acceleration and proximity sensors.

The barcode reader is standard, scanning at a 60° angle, with a 0° angle and a long-range engine as options, and NFC supports read, write and peer-to-peer modes. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are standard, with 4G/5G across two Nano SIM slots as an option, which also adds GPS/GLONASS. A USB Type-C OTG port handles data and 9 V charging. Within the Winmate range the TC605-EX is the ATEX and IECEx Zone 2 version of this handheld, and the MC432 is a 4.3″ handheld with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and a 23-key backlit keypad.

The TC605 is rated IP65 and IP68 and tested to MIL-STD-810H Method 516.8 for shock and 6 ft drops and Method 514.8 for vibration. It runs from -20 to 50 °C and carries CE, FCC, NCC, BSMI, TELEC, VCCI, JATE, BQB and RCM marks. The 5000 mAh battery is rated for 15 hours, with a hot-swappable battery, a PD adapter, a multi-slot cradle, a pistol grip, boots and a holster as options. We supply the TC605 configured, with the OS installed, and tested, ready to deploy.
