2 × HDMI to SDI/HDMI Overview
Presenter laptops, HDMI cameras and media players often need to share one SDI feed into a vision mixer, recorder or stream encoder. The Yuan 2 × HDMI to SDI/HDMI is an HDMI to SDI converter with two HDMI inputs that it combines as picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture, which suits live events, lecture capture and pro AV systems.
Inputs are two HDMI connections accepting 1920x1080p at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, 1080i, 720p, SD and VESA PC formats from 640×480 to 1280×1024. Outputs are one SDI and one HDMI, both up/down converted. SDI output covers 3G-SDI at 1080p 60/50, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Built-in interlacer, de-interlacer and 60 to 59.94 fps conversion are included. HDMI audio of two channels at up to 192 kHz is output at 48 kHz.
The 2 × HDMI to SDI/HDMI runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. For four HDMI sources on one output, the Multiviewer QUAD HDMI adds quad view with SDI, HDMI and VGA outputs. For two SDI sources instead, the 2 × SDI to HDMI/SDI offers the same PIP and PBP layouts with SDI loop-throughs.
Yuan publishes no operating temperature or certification for this unit, so plan for a desk, lectern or rack. We can also supply spare units for critical signal paths and advise on mounting and power in the rack, so the installation is ready before you go live. We supply the 2 × HDMI to SDI/HDMI configured and tested with the sources, displays and network it will connect to.
