2 × SDI/HDMI to SDI/HDMI Overview
Stereo 3D capture needs two matched camera feeds, a way to combine them into a 3D format and controls to fix alignment before the picture reaches a monitor or recorder. The Yuan 2 × SDI/HDMI to SDI/HDMI is a broadcast video converter that handles that at HD, typically for 3D production, stereo monitoring and research or training rigs.
It has two HDMI and two SDI inputs and two of each output, all accepting 2D or 3D. SDI input covers 3G, HD and SD-SDI, and HDMI input adds VESA PC formats from 640×480 to 1280×1024. Outputs are scaled up or down to 2048×1080 or 1920×1080 at 60/50 fps, 1080i and 720p. 3D modes are side by side, top and bottom, line by line, simultaneous and field sequential, with left/right depth adjustment and L/R swap. HDMI output supports RGB 4:4:4, YUV 4:4:4 and 4:2:2, and 3G-SDI output supports Level B. Audio is two channels, 24-bit, 192 kHz.
The 2 × SDI/HDMI to SDI/HDMI runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input and includes interlace, de-interlace and 60 to 59.94 fps conversion. For 3D at 4K, the 2 × 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0 to 12G-SDI/HDMI2.0 uses 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0. For two inputs shown as picture-in-picture rather than 3D, the 2 × SDI to HDMI/SDI is the fit.
