HDMI2.0 and SDVoE Transceiver Overview
On a growing SDVoE installation it helps to stock one model that can work at either end. The HDMI2.0 and SDVoE Transceiver is Yuan’s HDMI 2.0 SDVoE encoder and decoder: a dipswitch sets it to transmit an HDMI source onto a 10G network or to receive SDVoE and output HDMI 2.0. Yuan describes SDVoE as lossless and zero-latency, which typically suits pro AV and live production work.
In transmit mode it takes one HDMI 2.0 input, loops it out on HDMI 2.0 and sends SDVoE on both an RJ45 and an SFP+ port. In receive mode it takes SDVoE on RJ45 or SFP+ and outputs HDMI 2.0. Yuan lists 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at up to 60 fps, 1080p, 1080i and 720p, PC resolutions from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480, and SD at 480i and 576i. Source format detection is automatic, and analogue L/R audio is on a stereo phone jack.
Dipswitches set copper or fibre, encoder or decoder, and USB 2.0 or USB-PC mode. There is one USB Type-B port for a PC, two USB Type-A ports for peripherals, an RJ45 control port, IR and RS232. It runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input and supports PoE PD. The HDMI2.0 to SDVoE V2 and SDVoE to HDMI2.0 V2 are dedicated transmitter and receiver units with PoE on the 10G or 1G RJ45 port.
