H.26X, SDVoE and HDMI2.0 Transceiver Overview
Many AV networks now run SDVoE for lossless local distribution and NDI or other compressed streams for wider sharing, and the two need a bridge. The H.26X, SDVoE and HDMI2.0 Transceiver is Yuan’s AV over IP transceiver for that point. It converts between SDVoE and H.26X or NDI in either direction at up to 4K60, and it can also take an HDMI 2.0 source directly.
Yuan describes three ways of working. An NDI stream in can leave as SDVoE, with an HDMI 2.0 loop of the NDI stream; an SDVoE stream in can leave as NDI, with an HDMI 2.0 loop of the SDVoE stream; and an HDMI 2.0 source can leave as both SDVoE and NDI. The HDMI 2.0 input accepts 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at up to 60 fps, plus 1080p and 720p. Full NDI needs a separate NDI licence. Analogue L/R audio is on a stereo phone jack.
The SDVoE port is a 10G RJ45 or SFP+ connection, with copper or fibre and transmit or receive mode selectable, and a separate RJ45 carries NDI. Another RJ45 handles control, with one USB Type-B port for a PC, two USB Type-A ports for peripherals and RS232. It runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. The H.26X and Multi to SDVoE V2 adds multi-format inputs and USB recording at the source end, and the HDMI2.0 and SDVoE Transceiver is the SDVoE-only transceiver without NDI.
