Yuan SC330N8 PCIe Analogue Frame Grabber with 8 x Composite Inputs, PAL and NTSC

Recording eight analogue cameras on one PC needs a card that keeps every channel at full frame rate. The SC330N8 is Yuan’s 8-channel PCIe Analogue frame grabber, with eight BNC composite inputs capturing a total of 240 fps at D1. It suits camera recording, monitoring and inspection systems built on existing analogue cameras.

Each input accepts NTSC at up to 720 x 480 and 30 fps or PAL at up to 720 x 576 and 25 fps, with smaller sizes down to 320 x 240 or 320 x 288 for lighter recording. Yuan lists RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12 capture formats, and on-card cropping, scaling, auto signal detection and deinterlacing. Eight RCA inputs capture mono audio at 8 or 16-bit and 8 to 48 kHz.

The card fits a PCIe x1 slot and carries 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support, and DirectShow and V4L2 drivers let vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting use each channel, while Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK covers custom recording software. The SC330N4 is the four-input version for smaller installations, and the SC3C0N8-L adds H.26X hardware encoding to eight BNC inputs.

Yuan lists Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX, so the card can sit in an x86 PC or feed an ARM or Jetson based system. The board measures 85 x 84.5 mm. Yuan does not state an operating temperature range on its model page, so ask us where the card will run in a sealed cabinet.
