Yuan SC350N8-L PCIe Analogue Frame Grabber with 8 x Composite Inputs, PAL and NTSC

Analogue cameras still record on many sites, and some deliver a wider WD1 picture as well as standard D1. The SC350N8-L is Yuan’s 8-channel PCIe Analogue frame grabber, capturing eight NTSC or PAL composite feeds at WD1 up to 960 x 576 or at D1. It suits camera recording, monitoring and inspection systems built on existing analogue cameras, where every channel needs its own audio input as well.

Each input captures NTSC at 960 x 480 or 720 x 480 and 29.97 fps, or PAL at 960 x 576 or 720 x 576 and 25 fps. Yuan lists RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12 capture formats, and on-card cropping, scaling, auto signal detection and deinterlacing. Eight RCA inputs capture mono audio at 16-bit, 48 kHz, so each camera can carry its own sound.

The card fits a PCIe x1 slot and carries 8 GPIO lines and a watchdog. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support, and DirectShow and V4L2 drivers let vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting use each channel, with Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK for custom recording software. The SC350N4-L is the four-input version for smaller installations, and the SC3C0N8-L adds H.26X hardware encoding to eight inputs.

Yuan lists Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX, so the card can sit in an x86 PC or feed an ARM or Jetson based system. The board measures 119.23 x 68.9 mm. Yuan does not state an operating temperature range on its model page, so ask us where the card will run in a sealed cabinet.
