Yuan SC400N4 M2 TVI M.2 TVI Capture Card with 4 x TVI Inputs at 1080p30

Analogue HD cameras on coaxial cable are common on vehicles, in depots and across older CCTV sites, and replacing that cabling to move to IP is often not worth the cost. The SC400N4 M2 TVI is Yuan’s 4-channel M.2 TVI capture card for recording those cameras on a compact PC, with four inputs on a 22 x 80 mm module.

It accepts TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS signals at up to 1920 x 1080p at 30/25 fps, plus 1280 x 720p at up to 60 fps, and 960H and standard definition CVBS at 960 x 480, 720 x 480, 960 x 576 and 720 x 576 interlaced. Audio arrives through four mono inputs on a wafer connector at 8 or 16 kHz. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses.

The M.2 2280 module runs PCIe x2. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC400N4 MC TVI puts four TVI inputs on a Mini PCIe card, and the SC400N4-L TVI offers them on a low profile PCIe card with RCA audio inputs.

Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. The card measures 22 x 80 mm, the standard 2280 length, so it fits a 2280 M.2 slot on the host board.
