Yuan SC400N4-L TVI PCIe TVI Capture Card with 4 x TVI Inputs at 1080p30

Many CCTV sites still run analogue HD cameras over coaxial cable, and the recorder that takes them is often a slim PC with only low profile slots. The SC400N4-L TVI is Yuan’s 4-channel low profile PCIe TVI capture card for recording those cameras.

It accepts TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS signals at up to 1920 x 1080p at 30/25 fps, plus 1280 x 720p at up to 60 fps, and 960H and standard definition CVBS at 960 x 480, 720 x 480, 960 x 576 and 720 x 576 interlaced. Audio arrives through four RCA mono inputs at 16-bit and 48 kHz. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses.

The card runs PCIe x1 Gen2 and adds 8 GPIO lines, which suit alarm contacts and triggers. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC400N4 M2 TVI puts four TVI inputs on an M.2 2280 module, and the SC420N16 TVI scales to 16 TVI channels on a PCIe x4 card.

Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. The card measures 96.49 x 68.9 mm and is listed by Yuan as low profile PCIe, so it suits slim recorders and rackmount chassis.
