PCI ExpressSC420N16 TVI Overview
Sites with an installed base of analogue HD cameras often want to record or analyse them on a modern computer without recabling. The SC420N16 TVI is Yuan’s PCIe TVI capture card for that job, bringing 16 camera inputs into one PCIe x4 slot. Each input accepts TVI, CVI, AHD or CVBS, so it can suit surveillance recorders and video analytics systems where camera types are mixed.
TVI and compatible analogue HD signals capture at 1920 x 1080 at 30/25 fps and 1280 x 720 at 60, 50, 30 or 25 fps. 960H and CVBS sources run at 960 x 480i or 720 x 480i at 60 fps and 960 x 576i or 720 x 576i at 50 fps. Colour formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12. Sixteen RCA inputs carry mono audio at 16-bit, 48 kHz.
The card uses PCIe x4 Gen2 in a full-height slot and supports multiple instances and multiple devices in one host. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, deinterlacing and auto signal detection. Yuan provides a Windows and Linux SDK and lists DirectShow and V4L2 applications such as vMix and OBS. Yuan also lists this card as an option for the VPP6N0-S AGX edge AI server, and the SC400N4-L TVI covers four TVI inputs for smaller sites.
Yuan lists Windows, Linux 4.8 or higher, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX support. We supply the SC420N16 TVI tested in the host computer it goes into, with drivers and recording software installed, so it is ready to connect to the camera cabling on site.
