M.2SC550N1 M2 HDMI (A/E) Overview
When storage fills the B/M-key sockets on a compact computer or Jetson carrier, the A/E-key socket is often the only one left. The SC550N1 M2 HDMI (A/E) is Yuan’s A/E-key M.2 HDMI frame grabber, bringing full frame rate HD capture to that socket without giving up storage or moving to a larger computer.
The HDMI input captures 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps in and out, plus 1080p at 30, 25 and 24 fps, 1080i, 720p and computer timings down to 576i. WUXGA sources at 1920 x 1200 are accepted at 60/50 fps and captured at 30/25 fps. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12, with HDMI embedded stereo audio at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz.
The card is M.2 Type A/E on a PCIe x1 link, with cropping and scaling, auto signal detection, a deinterlace engine and multiple instances, and several cards can run in one host. Yuan provides a Windows and Linux SDK for DirectShow and V4L2 applications. The SC550N1 M2 HDMI (B/M) fits a B/M-key socket instead, and the SC5A0N1 M2 HDMI (A/E) adds H.26X hardware encoding on an A/E socket.
Yuan lists Windows, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit, and Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply it tested in the host computer it goes into, with drivers installed and capture checked on the inputs you plan to use. The SC550N1 M2 HDMI (A/E) suits compact recording, machine vision and display capture systems that need full 1080p60 from a small socket.
