Yuan SC550N2-L SDI PCIe SDI Video Capture Card with 2 x SDI Inputs at 1080p60

A two-camera SDI setup still needs its monitors and recorders fed while a PC captures both signals. The SC550N2-L SDI is Yuan’s 2-channel low profile PCIe SDI video capture card with a 3G-SDI input and a loop-through output on each channel, so both feeds carry on down the chain.

Two SDI inputs run as independent capture channels, each with its own SDI loop-through output. It accepts 3G-SDI at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24 fps, 1080i 60/50 fps and 720p 60/50 fps, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Frames reach the host as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, which lets display, analysis and encoding software pick the colour format that suits it. Built-in cropping and scaling, a deinterlace engine and auto signal detection take routine work off the host. Audio is two stereo embedded inputs at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz, taken from the SDI streams.

It is a PCIe x1 Gen2 card, with no on-board encoder. Yuan supplies Windows and Linux SDKs, and as a DirectShow and V4L2 device it works with vMix, OBS and conferencing tools such as Zoom, Teams and Webex. The SC550N1-L SDI is the single-channel card with loop-through, and the SC550N4 SDI takes four SDI feeds on a full height PCIe x4 card.

Operating system support covers Windows 7 to Windows 10, Linux from kernel 2.6.14 in 32-bit and 64-bit form, Linux on ARM and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. The board measures 134.05 x 68.9 mm in low profile format, with the SDI connectors on the bracket. It has 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog, and Yuan lists multi-device support.
