Plenty of capture jobs still start with a mix of new and old equipment: an HDMI camera or computer on one desk, a composite or component feed from an older system on the next. The SC5A0N1-L HDAV is Yuan’s single-channel PCIe HDMI capture card for that mix, with HDMI, YPbPr, S-Video and composite inputs feeding an on-board H.26X encoder.
The card accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps over HDMI and captures at 30/25 fps. YPbPr sources run up to 1080p60 with 1080i and 720p modes, while composite and S-Video cover 720 x 576i50 and 720 x 480i60 for PAL and NTSC. It delivers RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 or NV12 at 4:2:0, which lets software pick the format its encoder or vision library expects. Audio is captured as stereo embedded audio at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
It is a PCIe x1 Gen2 card and supports multiple instances and multiple cards in one host. Yuan lists cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and a deinterlacing engine, alongside 16 GPIO and a watchdog. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and DirectShow and V4L2 compatibility means tools such as OBS, vMix, Cisco Webex and Zoom can open the card directly. The SC5A0N1-L adds an SDI input and moves HDMI and analogue onto a DVI-I connector, and the SC5C0N1 covers HDMI, DVI-I, YPbPr, SDI and analogue with 1080p60 capture.
Drivers cover Windows 7 to Windows 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit form, Linux on ARM and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. That range lets one card serve a Windows recording PC, a Linux server or a Jetson edge unit. The board measures 100 x 68.9 mm.
