A recording station in a lab, a production office or an operating theatre rarely sees one kind of video. One day it is an SDI camera, the next an HDMI laptop or an older analogue source. The SC5A0N1-L is Yuan’s single-channel PCIe HDMI, SDI and DVI frame grabber for that mix: one SDI input plus a DVI-I input that takes HDMI, YPbPr, S-Video and composite signals, all feeding an on-board H.26X encoder.
The card accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and captures at 30/25 fps, with 1080i and 720p60 also listed for HDMI, DVI, YPbPr and HD-SDI sources. Composite and S-Video run at 720 x 576i50 and 720 x 480i60, so PAL and NTSC equipment is covered. Capture and preview formats cover RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, so frames can go straight to an encoder, a display pipeline or an analytics model without a colour conversion step. Audio arrives as a stereo embedded feed at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
The board is a PCIe x1 Gen1 card, so it drops into the short x1 slots common on compact industrial PCs. Yuan lists video cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, a deinterlacing engine and support for multiple instances and multiple cards in one system. Software runs through Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 applications such as vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams. For 1080p60 capture the SC5C0N1-L offers the same SDI and DVI-I layout, and the SC5A0N1-L HDAV swaps SDI for a dedicated HDMI input.
Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux kernel 2.6.14 or later in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. That spread lets one capture design move between Windows desktops, Linux servers and Jetson edge devices. The board measures 104.91 x 68.9 mm.
