Yuan SC5A0N2-L HDMI PCIe HDMI Video Capture Card with 2 x HDMI Inputs and 1080p30 Capture

Recording two HDMI sources, for example a camera and a presentation computer, often means splitting each signal so its display keeps working. The SC5A0N2-L HDMI is Yuan’s two-channel PCIe HDMI video capture card that removes the splitters: each of its two HDMI inputs has a matching HDMI loop-through output, and both channels feed an on-board H.26X encoder.

Each input accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and captures at 30/25 fps, with 1080i, 720p and computer modes from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 also listed. Frames come out as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, from full 4:4:4 colour down to 4:2:0 for lighter encoding and streaming loads. Each channel captures stereo embedded audio from HDMI at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz, so sound stays in step with the picture.

It uses a PCIe x1 Gen2 slot, supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, and carries cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing, plus 16 GPIO and a watchdog. Development runs on Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, while DirectShow and V4L2 support lets off-the-shelf software including vMix, OBS, Teams and GoToMeeting use it as a video source. The SC5C0N2-L HDMI is the two-channel HDMI card at 1080p60, and the SC5A0N4 HDMI doubles the count to four HDMI channels on PCIe x4.

On the operating system side Yuan supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. So one card design can serve a Windows lecture capture PC or a Linux or Jetson recorder. The board measures 144.75 x 68.9 mm.
