Yuan SC5C0N2-L HDMI PCIe HDMI Video Capture Card with 2 x HDMI Inputs at 1080p60

The SC5C0N2-L HDMI is Yuan's two-channel PCIe HDMI video capture card for an x1 slot, capturing two HDMI sources at 1080p60/50 through an on-board H.26X encoder, with 1920 x 1200 sources captured at 30/25 fps. It suits two-camera streaming, lecture capture and recording of a camera alongside a computer.

  • HDMI Inputs: Two HDMI inputs, each capturing 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps from cameras, computers or media sources.
  • Computer Sources: 1920 x 1200 sources are captured at 30/25 fps, with computer modes from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 listed.
  • Hardware Encoding: A built-in H.26X encoder compresses both 1080p60 channels on the card rather than on the host CPU.
  • Host Interface: PCIe x1 Gen2 on a 131 x 68.9 mm board, with 16 GPIO and a watchdog.
  • Operating Systems: Windows 7 to 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux, Linux on ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX.

SC5C0N2-L HDMI Overview

Two-camera streams and lectures, or a camera recorded next to a presentation computer, look smoother at 60 frames per second, and both feeds are usually HDMI. The SC5C0N2-L HDMI is Yuan’s two-channel PCIe HDMI video capture card for that, with two HDMI inputs captured at full 1080p60 from one x1 slot and an H.26X encoder handling compression on the card.

Each input captures 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, and 1920 x 1200 sources at up to 60/50 fps in are captured at 30/25 fps. 1080i, 720p and computer modes from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 are also listed. Frames come out as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, from full 4:4:4 colour down to 4:2:0 for lighter encoding and streaming loads. Each channel captures stereo embedded audio from HDMI at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.

The card uses a PCIe x1 Gen2 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, with cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing, 16 GPIO and a watchdog. Development runs on Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, while DirectShow and V4L2 support lets off-the-shelf software including vMix, OBS, Teams and GoToMeeting use it as a video source. The SC5A0N2-L HDMI adds HDMI loop-through outputs with 1080p30 capture, and the SC5C0N4 HDMI takes four HDMI channels at 1080p60.

On the operating system side Yuan supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. So a two-camera recorder can be built on Windows, Linux or a Jetson module. The board measures 131 x 68.9 mm.

Official Yuan UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Yuan UK distributor, supplying the SC5C0N2-L HDMI configured for UK streaming and lecture capture projects. Within the Yuan range the SC5A0N2-L HDMI adds HDMI loop-through at 1080p30, and the SC5C0N4 HDMI records four HDMI sources at 1080p60.

With two HDMI channels at 1080p60 the SC5C0N2-L HDMI sits among our HDMI video capture cards and our PCIe capture cards. Where two HDMI sources must be recorded at full frame rate from one x1 slot, this is the model to specify.
