Yuan SC5A0N4-L SDI PCIe SDI Video Capture Card with 4 x SDI Inputs and 1080p30 Capture

Compact recorders and industrial PCs often have a PCIe x4 slot but little height above it, which rules out taller multi-channel cards. The SC5A0N4-L SDI is Yuan’s four-channel PCIe SDI video capture card built for that: four SDI inputs on a 167.5 x 65.95 mm PCIe x4 board, with an H.26X encoder compressing every channel on the card.

Each SDI input accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and captures at 30/25 fps. HD-SDI sources run at 1080p30/25/24, 1080i60/50 and 720p60/50, and SD-SDI at 720 x 480i60 and 720 x 576i50. Frames come out as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, from full 4:4:4 colour down to 4:2:0 for lighter encoding and streaming loads. Each channel captures stereo embedded audio at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.

The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, with cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing and a watchdog. Development runs on Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, while DirectShow and V4L2 support lets off-the-shelf software including vMix, OBS, Teams and GoToMeeting use it as a video source. The SC5A0N4 SDI carries the same four channels on a taller board with 16 GPIO, and the SC5C0N4-L SDI is the four-channel SDI card at 1080p60.

On the operating system side Yuan supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. So the same compact card can serve a Windows recorder, a Linux server or a Jetson edge unit. The board measures 167.5 x 65.95 mm.
