PCI ExpressSC750N1-L HDMI2.1 Overview
Capturing 8K or 120 fps content needs more host bandwidth than older capture cards offer, and the person at the source usually still needs their own screen. The SC750N1-L HDMI2.1 is Yuan’s single-channel PCIe HDMI frame grabber for HDMI 2.1 sources, built on a low profile PCIe x8 Gen3 board with a loop-through output that keeps the source display live.
The HDMI 2.1 input captures up to 7680 x 4320 at 60, 50, 30, 25 or 24 fps, 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at up to 120 fps, 2560 x 1440 at 144 fps and 1920 x 1080 at up to 240 fps, down to SD formats. Colour formats cover 4:4:4 8-bit RGB24 and RGB32, 4:2:2 8-bit YUY2, 4:2:0 8-bit YV12 and NV12, and 4:2:0 10-bit P010. One stereo embedded audio channel at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz is captured with the video.
The card uses a PCIe x8 Gen3 interface. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine, and multi-instance and multi-device support lets software open several streams or cards at once. Yuan provides a Windows and Linux SDK and lists vMix, OBS, Zoom, Teams and Cisco Webex among compatible applications, along with DirectShow and V4L2 software. The SC720N1-L DP1.4a is the DisplayPort 1.4a card for 8K30 and 4K120 sources, and the UB575G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ takes an HDMI 2.1 input over USB 3.0 instead of PCIe.
Operating system support covers Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The low profile board measures 120 x 68.9 mm, so it fits compact systems as well as full-size desktop hosts with a free x8 slot.
