SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder XLR Overview
Programme audio embedded in SDI often needs to reach a PA system, an audio desk or a separate recorder, with the picture going to an HDMI screen. The Yuan SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder XLR is an audio de-embedder that splits the audio out on balanced XLR while converting SDI to HDMI, typically for live events, houses of worship and broadcast.
Input is one SDI connection accepting 3G-SDI at 1080p 60/50, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Outputs are one HDMI in the input format, one SDI loop-through and a pair of XLR connectors for balanced L/R audio. HDMI carries up to eight channels of embedded audio at 24-bit, 48 kHz, and the XLR pair outputs up to two channels at 24-bit, 48 kHz.
The SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder XLR is plug and play, with auto source format detection and a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. If you need unbalanced L/R, AES-3 or S/PDIF instead, the SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder offers those with two SDI loops. To embed balanced audio at the source end, the HDMI to SDI-S Audio Embedder takes XLR input.
