SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder Overview
Getting audio out of an SDI feed for a speaker system, mixer or recorder usually means a separate de-embedder next to the monitor converter. The Yuan SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder is an audio de-embedder that does both jobs: SDI to HDMI conversion plus an audio output in analogue or digital form, which suits broadcast, live events and pro AV.
Input is one SDI connection accepting 3G-SDI at 1080p 60/50, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Outputs are one HDMI in the input format, two SDI loop-throughs and a stereo jack that carries L/R analogue audio, AES-3 or S/PDIF. HDMI and SDI carry up to eight channels of embedded audio at 24-bit, 48 kHz, and the jack outputs two channels at 24-bit, 48 kHz.
The SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder is plug and play, with auto source format detection and a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. If your audio system needs balanced XLR, the SDI to HDMI Audio De-Embedder XLR is the fit. To embed audio at the source end, the HDMI to SDI Audio Embedder takes L/R, AES-3 and S/PDIF in.
