UB570 Pro SDI+HDMI Overview
Many capture jobs switch between an SDI camera one day and an HDMI laptop or camera the next. The UB570 Pro SDI+HDMI is Yuan’s USB HDMI and SDI video capture device, a USB 3.0 unit with one SDI and one HDMI input and its ProAV Scaler, so a single unit covers both source types on a laptop or small PC.
One channel is captured at a time, from either input, at up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 or 50 fps. Over USB 3.0 the card delivers YUY2 video at 1920 x 1200, 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 1024, 1280 x 720 and lower resolutions at up to 60 fps. Audio comes from SDI or HDMI embedded audio at 16-bit 48 kHz stereo, and Yuan offers a 3.5 mm analogue stereo input as an option for a separate microphone or mixer feed.
The card connects through a USB 3.0 Type B port as a UVC device, so software that supports UVC capture can open it. On a USB 2.0 host it falls back to 640 x 480 at 30 fps and 720 x 576 or 720 x 480 at 25 fps. The UB570 PRO AIO adds DVI-I and analogue inputs, and the UB570G PRO HDMI is the HDMI-only card with a loop-through output. Having both SDI and HDMI on one card means a crew can switch from a broadcast camera to a laptop feed without changing hardware.
Operating system support covers Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit, Linux and macOS. That lets the same card serve Windows capture PCs, Linux systems and Mac editing machines, which suits field production, event capture and training work where the host changes between jobs.
