UB575G HDMI Overview
Recording a fast-moving HDMI source, or a 4K screen, from a laptop is easier when the capture card keeps the source display live and needs no internal slot. The UB575G HDMI is Yuan’s USB HDMI capture card, a USB 3.0 unit with an HDMI loop-through output and HDR input.
The HDMI input takes up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 or 25 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 120 or 100 fps, with 4:2:2 10-bit and 4:4:4 8-bit HDR sources supported. Over USB 3.0 the card delivers 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps, 2560 x 1440 at 60 fps and 1920 x 1080 at 120 fps in NV12, and 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in NV12, YUY2 or 10-bit P010. Audio comes from HDMI embedded audio or a 3.5 mm analogue stereo input at 16-bit 48 kHz.
The card connects through a USB 3.0 Type B port as a UVC device, so software that supports UVC capture can open it. On a USB 2.0 host it captures 1280 x 720 at 30 fps in NV12 and SD formats. The UB575G HDMI2.1 HDR HID+ moves to HDMI 2.1 with 8K60 input and HID control, and the UB570G PRO HDMI adds the ProAV Scaler with 1920 x 1200 input.
An HDMI loop-through output keeps the source display running during capture. Operating system support covers Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit, Linux and macOS, which suits streaming, product demonstrations and training capture on whichever machine is to hand. Capturing 1080p at 120 fps keeps fast motion smooth in the recording, which suits work where movement has to be studied frame by frame.
