Antaira LMX-3228G-4X24S 32-Port 10G Managed Rackmount Industrial Switches with 4x 10G SFP+, 24x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Large sites end up with fibre everywhere, and the runs from remote cabinets all meet at one point, and that point needs far more SFP slots than copper ports, plus routing to keep the subnets apart. The Antaira LMX-3228G-4X24S series is a family of Layer 3 managed rackmount industrial switches built around fibre, with 24 1G SFP slots and four 10G SFP+ slots in a fanless unit.

Each LMX-3228G-4X24S has 24 1G SFP slots, four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ slots and four 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports, switching store-and-forward on a 136 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table and a 32 Mbit packet buffer. Layer 3 routing covers static routes, OSPFv2/v3, RIPv2/RIPng and VRRPv2/v3, with ARP, NAT and DHCP option 82, so the switch can route between VLANs and subnets and share a gateway with a second unit. The firmware also covers VLAN, QoS with DSCP, IGMP and MLD snooping, LACP, LLDP, sFlow, RMON, DDMI and Modbus TCP, with RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, ACLs, IP source guard, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSHv2 securing access. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores a broken ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP for other layouts.

The series offers two temperature grades. The LMX-3228G-4X24S is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for heated cabinets and equipment rooms, and the LMX-3228G-4X24S-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated rack enclosures. Both draw 35 W from redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs, with every connection on the front panel. Both builds run the same firmware, so one configuration can be saved and restored over USB across a mixed site, and dual image protection keeps a fallback copy of the firmware if an upgrade is interrupted.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as applications for the LMX-3228G-4X24S series, on SCADA and control networks. The fanless IP30 metal housing mounts in a 19-inch rack, with overload, reverse polarity and high EFT and ESD protection and a 24 V DC, 1 A relay. Antaira lists CE, FCC, RoHS and TAA and NDAA compliance and covers the series with its 5-year warranty.
