Antaira LNP-0800-24 8-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged PoE Switches with 8x PoE+, 12-36V DC Input and Extended Temperature Options

Plenty of surveillance, traffic and plant cabinets are wired for 12 or 24 V DC, and a 48 V PoE switch would need its own power supply before it could run. The Antaira LNP-0800-24 series takes that supply directly: industrial unmanaged PoE+ switches with eight Fast Ethernet ports, all of them PoE+, running from 12 to 36 V DC in a slim IP30 aluminium case for a DIN rail.

Every LNP-0800-24 switch has eight 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports, every one with IEEE 802.3at PoE+. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 1 Gbps fabric with a 2K MAC address table, so the switches pass traffic and power devices with no set-up. Power arrives on 12 to 36 V DC redundant inputs on a removable terminal block. Each port delivers PoE+ at up to 30 W, and Antaira gives full-load consumption as 210 W at 12 V DC and 250 W at 24 to 36 V DC, so the usable PoE power depends on input voltage. One relay output gives a port break alarm, and broadcast storm protection, EFT protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC are built in, with reverse polarity and slow-blow fuse overload protection.

The series comes in two temperature builds. The LNP-0800-24 is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C, for heated or indoor cabinets. The LNP-0800-24-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C, for unheated outdoor enclosures and other sites that see hard frosts. Both share the same ports, power input and PoE budget. For fixed fibre on a low-voltage supply, the LNP-0802-24 series pairs six PoE+ ports with two 100Base-FX fibre ports.

Antaira names security surveillance, ITS traffic monitoring, power and utility facility management, water and wastewater treatment plants and factory automation production lines among the applications. The LNP-0800-24 series is housed in an IP30 aluminium case for DIN-rail mounting, with optional wall-mount kit, and is rated for shock to IEC 60068-2-27 and vibration to IEC 60068-2-6. Antaira lists the series as UL Class 1 Division 2 certified, with CE and FCC marks and RoHS compliance, and both builds carry Antaira’s 5-year warranty. In practice, the choice between the two builds comes down to the coldest temperature the installation will see.
