Antaira LNX-1600G 16-Port Gigabit Unmanaged DIN Rail Ethernet Switches with Extended Temperature Options

The Antaira LNX-1600G series is a family of industrial gigabit unmanaged Ethernet switches with 16 RJ45 ports at 10/100/1000 on a 32 Gbps fabric, with 9.6 KB jumbo frames, redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs and a power failure relay. The LNX-1600G series suits security video surveillance, GigE machine vision, process control automation and intelligent transportation cabinets.

  • 16 Gigabit RJ45 Ports: Sixteen 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X for cameras, vision systems and controllers.
  • 32 Gbps Switching Fabric: Store-and-forward switching on a 32 Gbps fabric, enough for all 16 ports at gigabit line rate.
  • Jumbo Frames for Video: An 8K MAC table, 4 Mbit buffer and 9.6 KB jumbo frames suit GigE vision and video streams.
  • Redundant DC With Relay: Dual 12 to 48 V DC inputs on a 6-pin terminal block, with a relay that warns of a power redundancy failure.
  • UL 61010-1 Certified: Antaira lists UL 61010-1 certification, FCC and CE marks, in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall.

LNX-1600G Description

Camera systems and GigE vision cells soon need more gigabit ports than a small switch offers, and splitting them across two units adds wiring, power feeds and another box to fault-find. The Antaira LNX-1600G series puts 16 gigabit ports on one DIN rail, as industrial gigabit unmanaged Ethernet switches in an IP30 metal case. There is no management interface and nothing to configure, so the switch forwards traffic as soon as it is powered, and every port runs at full gigabit for camera and vision traffic.

Every LNX-1600G shares the same design. The 16 RJ45 ports at 10/100/1000Base-T support auto negotiation, full or half duplex and auto MDI/MDI-X, and switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 32 Gbps fabric, enough for all 16 ports at gigabit line rate. An 8K MAC table, a 4 Mbit buffer and 9.6 KB jumbo frames suit vision and video streams. Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs on a 6-pin terminal block with reverse polarity protection and a slow-blow fuse, the switch draws 14.4 W, and a relay rated 24 V DC, 1 A warns of a power redundancy failure.

The series has two builds. The LNX-1600G is the standard temperature model, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LNX-1600G-T is the extended temperature model, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated and outdoor enclosures. Both share ports, power and approvals. Where the cabinet also needs fibre, the LNX-1604G-SFP series swaps four copper ports for four SFP slots. Choose the -T build for unheated or outdoor enclosures, and the standard build where the cabinet is heated or sits indoors.

Both LNX-1600G models come in an IP30 metal case for DIN-rail or wall mounting, and follow IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration testing. Antaira lists UL 61010-1 certification, with FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, and covers the series with its 5-year warranty. Antaira names security video surveillance, GigE machine vision, process control automation and intelligent transportation as applications where the LNX-1600G series works well. In practice, one 16-port gigabit switch in place of two smaller ones means one redundant power feed, one relay alarm and fewer patch leads to trace during a fault.

Official Antaira UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Antaira UK distributor, supplying the LNX-1600G series for UK surveillance, machine vision and transport programmes. Within the Antaira range, the LNP-1600G series adds PoE+ with a 240 W budget, and the LMX-1600G series adds managed switching to 16 gigabit ports. We supply both temperature builds and can help size the redundant DC supply for the cabinet.

The LNX-1600G series sits among our unmanaged gigabit switches, our industrial Ethernet switches and our Ethernet switch range. Where a cabinet needs 16 gigabit copper ports and no configuration, this is the Antaira series to specify. Speak to our team about the build, the transceivers and the power supply, and we will help you shortlist the right Antaira switch.
