Antaira LNX-2012GN-SFP 20-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Ethernet Switches with 12x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

A fibre backbone across a utility, water or transport network usually meets at one switch, and that switch has to do more than forward frames. The Antaira LNX-2012GN-SFP series is built for that point in the network: fully manageable Layer 2 industrial Ethernet switches with 12 SFP slots for fibre and eight gigabit copper ports, which Antaira positions for remote SCADA systems and control networks. Antaira describes it as pre-loaded with a user-friendly web management console, with Super Ring redundancy to prevent a single failure causing extended downtime.

Every LNX-2012GN-SFP shares the same design. The eight 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports and 12 dual-rate 100/1000 SFP slots sit on a 40 Gbps store-and-forward fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. Management covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1p QoS, IGMP v2/v3, LACP trunking, RMON, port mirroring, LLDP and IPv4/IPv6, configured by web console, Telnet, CLI or the RS232 console port. Redundancy runs on STP, RSTP, MSTP and Antaira’s Super Ring, and security on 802.1X, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, HTTPS, SSH/SSL and MAC-based port lock. Modbus/TCP lets a SCADA system read the switch, and e-mail or relay alerts flag exceptions. Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs with a 10 W draw and a CPU watchdog.

The series has two builds. The LNX-2012GN-SFP is the standard temperature model, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LNX-2012GN-SFP-T is the extended temperature model, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated and outdoor enclosures. Both share ports, management features and approvals. We supply the series and can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and Super Ring settings before delivery where you ask.

Both LNX-2012GN-SFP models come in an IP30 metal case for DIN-rail mounting, with wall mounting as an option, and follow IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration testing. Antaira lists UL 508, FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, and covers the series with its 5-year warranty. Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as applications for the LNX-2012GN-SFP series. With 12 SFP slots, each fibre link can use the mode and reach it needs, set by the transceiver chosen, while the eight copper ports serve local controllers and HMIs.
