Arestech BPC-3025 Intel Apollo Lake Fanless Industrial Mini PCs with Dual GbE

Gateway and monitoring jobs rarely need much processing, but they do need the right ports, a cellular option and a box small enough to clip onto a DIN rail beside the equipment it watches. The Arestech BPC-3025 series is built for that brief: industrial mini PCs on Intel Apollo Lake processors, fanless, 180 x 50 x 115 mm and 0.77 kg, with a DIN rail kit and a wall-mount option.

Both models share one board. Intel HD Graphics 500 drives an HDMI 1.4 output at up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz and a VGA output at up to 2560 x 1600, and two DDR3L 1866 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 8 GB. Two Intel i211AT GbE ports separate a field network from an uplink, one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port talk to meters, PLCs and serial devices, and two USB 3.0 plus two USB 2.0 ports cover peripherals. Storage sits on an M.2 2242 M Key SATA slot, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot with one SIM holder and three antenna holes takes a 4G LTE or Wi-Fi module, with an 8-bit GPIO available as an option. Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux are both supported, and the board uses a UEFI BIOS.

The two models differ in processor. The BPC-3025-1A1 uses the quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 at 1.1 GHz, bursting to 2.5 GHz, for gateways that run protocol conversion, local logging or a small HMI together. The BPC-3025-2A1 uses the dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 at 1.1 GHz, bursting to 2.4 GHz, for lighter data collection and monitoring work. Both share the same enclosure, ports and power input, so a project can move between them without changing the mounting or the cabling.

Power comes in at 9 to 36 V DC through a Phoenix connector, with a typical draw of 8.3 W at 12 V. The BPC-3025 series runs fanless from -20 °C to 60 °C with extended-temperature memory and an M.2 SSD, which places it in the wide-temperature class, and it is tested to 1 Grms random vibration and 20 G shock. That suits these industrial mini PCs to cabinets, kiosks and roadside or depot equipment where space and power are tight.
