Arestech PPC-N198 19" Intel Core i5-8265U Industrial Panel PCs with Front IP66 Aluminium Bezel

A panel PC on a machine or kiosk front has to take splashes and cleaning at the face while the electronics behind it stay cool without a fan. The Arestech PPC-N198 series is built for that: a family of 19 inch fanless industrial panel PCs with an aluminium front cover sealed to IP66, a 350 nit SXGA LCD at 1280 x 1024 with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 160° viewing angles horizontally and vertically, and Intel Core i5-8265U processors.

Every PPC-N198 shares the same computer. It has two DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 32 GB, an M.2 2280 socket with PCIe x4 or SATA and an internal 2.5-inch bay, with RAID 0 and 1, two GbE ports on Intel i219V and i211AT controllers, four USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, three RS-232 ports and one RS-232/422/485 port, an HDMI output for a second screen, line-out and mic-in and 8-bit digital I/O. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket with a SIM slot and an M.2 2230 E-key socket for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth take optional 4G and wireless modules, and the operating system support covers Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux. The compute suits SCADA and MES clients, dashboards and HMI software with several windows open.

The PPC-N198 series offers the PPC-N198P (Intel Core i5-8265U, PCAP) and the PPC-N198R (Intel Core i5-8265U, 5-wire resistive). Projected capacitive touch suits bare-finger operation, and 5-wire resistive touch works with gloves and a stylus. Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a two-pin Phoenix terminal block, at 17.5 W typical. The series is fanless and operates from -20 °C to 60 °C with extended-temperature memory and storage fitted, at 5 to 95% humidity. It is vibration-tested from 5 to 500 Hz at 2.16 Grms, shock-tested to 20 G under IEC 60068-2-27 and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. The 19″ panel PC measures 456 x 393 x 69 mm, weighs 5.73 kg and mounts in a panel or on 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA. Arestech names HMI, factory automation, ATM and self-service kiosks and vending and ticketing machines as the target applications.
