ASRock Industrial iEP-9010E Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 12th Gen Industrial Box PC with 2x PoE and 6x COM

Edge recording and data logging jobs often need several drives, plenty of serial and network ports and a socketed processor, but no GPU slot. The ASRock Industrial iEP-9010E is an industrial box PC built for that mix, with four 2.5-inch drive trays, five 2.5GbE ports and six COM ports in a 202 x 244 x 108.7 mm case.

It takes 12th Gen Intel Core, Pentium or Celeron processors in an LGA 1700 socket on the Intel R680E chipset, with four DDR4 2933 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 128 GB and ECC support with selected processors. Intel UHD graphics drives DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus VGA. Windows 10 and Linux are supported, with ACRN, and Intel TCC and TSN under Yocto.

Networking on the iEP-9010E is five Intel 2.5GbE ports, two supplying IEEE 802.3af PoE at up to 15.4 W per port and one with vPro. Six USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, four RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports and 8 DI/8 DO cover field devices. Storage is an M.2 Key M socket for an NVMe SSD at Gen4 x4 and four SATA3 ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 behind four 2.5-inch trays, with an optional CFast socket. Two mini PCIe slots, M.2 Key B and Key E sockets, two nano SIM slots and eight SMA holes cover 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC with 13-mode ignition control, a remote power switch and 80 V surge, OVP, UVP, OCP and reverse protection. With a 35 W processor this industrial box PC operates from -40 °C to 70 °C, or -40 °C to 50 °C with 46 W to 65 W processors, with 0.5 to 0.8 m/s airflow. ASRock Industrial rates the iEP-9010E for 50 G shock and 5 Grms vibration, it meets CE and FCC Class A and it weighs 6.5 kg with desk mounting. The iEPF-9010S-EY4 adds four PCIe Gen4 slots for a GPU.
